# ROS Advanced

ROS Advanced - ROS 1 legacy material, advanced patterns, and historical context for older robotics systems.

ROS 1 reached end-of-life in May 2025. This section archives advanced ROS 1 material for systems that still depend on it. New projects should use ROS 2.
